{"id":51962,"date":"2016-01-03T08:04:37","date_gmt":"2016-01-03T07:04:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/khymeia.tinbob.com\/?post_type=document&#038;p=51962"},"modified":"2022-10-12T13:22:54","modified_gmt":"2022-10-12T11:22:54","slug":"neurophysiological-assessment-for-evaluating-residual-cognition-in-vegetative-and-minimally-conscious-state-patients-a-pilot-study-functional-neurology","status":"publish","type":"document","link":"https:\/\/khymeia.com\/it\/document\/neurophysiological-assessment-for-evaluating-residual-cognition-in-vegetative-and-minimally-conscious-state-patients-a-pilot-study-functional-neurology\/","title":{"rendered":"Neurophysiological assessment for evaluating residual cognition in vegetative and minimally conscious state patients: a pilot study &#8211; Functional Neurology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lo scopo di questo studio era di valutare la funzione cognitiva residua e di eseguire la valutazione dei risultati in pazienti in stato vegetativo (VS) e di minima coscienza (MCS), utilizzando Neurowave, un sistema in grado di monitorare potenziali evento-correlati (ERP) indotti dalla stimolazione neurosensoriale.<\/p>\n<p>Undici pazienti con VS e cinque pazienti con MCS sono stati sottoposti ad un esame neurologico e a valutazione clinica eseguita utilizzando scale cliniche e comportamentali convalidate; inoltre hanno subito una stimolazione neurosensoriale, consistente nella somministrazione di immagini target (stimoli rari), rilevanti per la storia personale del paziente e con un significato emotivo, alternate a immagini non target (stimoli &#8220;standard&#8221;), che non avevano alcun significato emotivo. Sono state registrate tutte le risposte ERP simultanee al basale (T0) ea tre mesi da T0 (T1).<\/p>\n<p>A T0 abbiamo trovato differenze significative tra i pazienti VS e MCS per le onde N200 (p = 0.02) e P300 (p = 0.04). L&#8217;analisi neurofisiologica di T1 ha mostrato una differenza significativa solo per P300 (p = 0,02), probabilmente a causa dei miglioramenti osservati nei soggetti VS per le componenti sensoriali N100 (p = 0,009) e N200 (p = 0,02).<\/p>\n<p>I risultati sembrano mostrare il valore del monitoraggio ERP nei pazienti VS e MCS come mezzo per indagare la funzione cognitiva residua.
